about

SAMUEL TAYLOR
‘DEAD WHITE ROSES’

SAMUEL TAYLOR RELEASES THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF NEW EP’S AS HE TRAVELS FROM TOWN TO TOWN ON AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY. THE TRIP STARTING IN SHEFFIELD TAKES IN VARIOUS DESTINATIONS INCLUDING THE NEXT STOP ON THE ROAD, MUSIC CITY NASHVILLE TENNESSEE.

'Dead White Roses' the debut EP in the series will be released on the 23rd February 2015.

“In 2014 whilst traveling with my duo project Taylor & Marie I came up with the idea of recording an EP in various places. I thought it would be really interesting to go to a city or region and use the musicians, producers and studios of that city to help shape a sound around the songs that I approached them with. The start of my journey was my hometown of Sheffield, a great musical city. I contacted my old friend and very talented producer David Sanderson and we got to work putting together a group of people who could help us find the sound we wanted. We managed to pull in some friends and amazing musicians in the form of Ed Cosens (Reverend and the Makers), Adam Crofts (The Hosts), Jon Trier (Richard Hawley band), film composer Joe Hastings and my brother Matthew Taylor (Dead Like Harry, Anytown). We soon found our feet with the recordings and laid down 10 tracks.

I’m already planning my next EP which I will start recording in Nashville in March and will release in April.” - Samuel Taylor
